EYOTA, Minn. (KTTC) -- An elderly man in Eyota almost didn't make it to see another day, but thanks to the quick action of an Olmsted County sheriff's deputy, he was revived after suffering a heart attack.
Deputy Dave Clark responded Thursday night to the Arbor Gardens Nursing Home in Eyota after the elderly man went into cardiac arrest. Clark quickly began CPR and when that was not working, he used a defibrillator and revived him.
Remarkably, once paramedics arrived, the man was awake and was able to answer questions.
Deputy Clark has been with the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office for seven years, and it is safe to say that without the training of CPR and the use of the defibrillator, we would be reporting on a much different story.
