Facebook page brings Christmas tree to needy family

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) --"Stuff Wanted in Rochester, MN" is a Facebook page where people can post about things they need or want to give away for free.

Christine Boyken of Byron posted that she had an old Christmas tree.  She immediately heard from a woman who wasn't able to afford a tree for her family.  Boyken met with the woman and gave her the tree, lights and ornaments.

"The look on her face when I met with her -- the tears," Boyken said.  "I was very fortunate and glad I got to help somebody else out and make a very special Christmas for her family because that's what mine's about, too."

"Stuff Wanted in Rochester, MN" has more than 1,200 followers from Rochester and the surrounding communities.
