ORONOCO, Minn. (KTTC) -- What began as a routine training exercise was interrupted Tuesday evening by a shotgun blast.
The Oronoco Fire Department was conducting an extrication training exercise at Oronoco Auto Parts around 6 p.m. Tuesday, when out of nowhere a shotgun was fired into the air.
According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, a neighbor to the business thought some kids were vandalizing the property and he decided to try to scare them off by firing a shotgun.
Reports indicate the man is a war veteran who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
No one was cited or injured in the incident.
