ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- In spite of brutally cold conditions and a biting wind, hundreds of people lined up outside Mills Fleet Farm in south Rochester at 5 a.m. for "Black Friday" bargain prices, and a chance to take home a free stuffed animal.  When the doors opened at 6, the wind chill had dropped to zero degrees.

The free cuddly "Holiday Puppy" was a huge hit.  It came marked with the store's "FF" logo and "2012" for true collectors to keep everything straight.  Shoppers of all ages could be seen hugging their free puppies as they left with their bargains.

Among the hugely popular early prizes for Black Friday shoppers at Mills Fleet Farm was an "Anti-gravity Chair" going for half price.  In the store's ad, it was pretty clear that it was one of those items going for the special price only while supplies lasted.  At the rate they were being wheeled out of the store in carts in the first hour, the shelf might be bare for this item soon.

A Rochester police officer was on duty outside the store to keep the peace as the doors opened, and sure enough, two men tried to crash the line and were ordered to go to the back of the line.
