LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - When family and friends of 12 year old Hunter Biermeier reflect on his life they remember the way he lived-with no regrets.
They say he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was wise beyond his years.
Before his life was cut short, he had a vision to read to sick children in the hospital. He never had the chance to carry it out.
Instead, teddy bears will be passed out in his honor.
His cousin and close friend started "Hugs from Hunter".
Watch Heather Armstrong's story on what this program has meant for those who receive a teddy bear and to those who knew Hunter.
