Costco opens in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Costco at 19th Street Northwest and West Circle Drive in Rochester is open.

The nearly 150,000 square foot store opened at 8 a.m. Friday.

Rochester Costco cardholders used to have to drive more than 75 miles to either Burnsville or Eden Prairie.

But now customers are happy to make the drive to northwest Rochester where business has been booming.

This is the eighth Costco warehouse to open in Minnesota, and the 447th in the United States.
