New minority leader in the Iowa Senate

Shell Rock's State Senator will be the new minority leader in the Iowa Senate.

Today Senate Republicans have unanimously elected Bill Dix of Shell Rock.

Dix says he can't say members won't try again to go after failed efforts of the past on social issues.

Meanwhile the House Republicans have decided to keep their leadership.

Republican Kraig Paulsen of Hiawatha will return as the Iowa House Speaker.

The Senate Democrats will elect their leadership on Sunday.
