Winona Co. man charged in La Crosse homicides

LA CROSSE, Wis. (KTTC) -- A Winona County man has been arrested and charged for shooting to death a father and son in La Crosse.

Jeffrey Lepsch, 39, of Dakota was arrested Wednesday near his home.

He is charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

Lepsch is being held in Winona County Jail.

According to his Facebook page, he attended Winona State University.

On September 15, 56-year-old Paul Petras and his son, 19-year-old A.J., were shot to death inside May's Photo in downtown La Crosse in the middle of the afternoon.

Paul was the store owner and had previously owned a May's Photo in Winona as well.

Police plan to release more information at a news conference on Thursday.
