Minnesota man charged with breaking into Capitol

Posted:

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A Minnesota man is accused of breaking into the Wisconsin Capitol through a fifth-floor window.

A criminal complaint says 21-year-old Andrew Bishop apparently scaled the outside of the Capitol Sunday and smashed a window to get into the building. It says the intoxicated Roseville, Minn., man grabbed a fire extinguisher and threw it through another window.

The complaint says police found Bishop passed out on a dome outside one of the windows.

The State Journal (http://tinyurl.com/95zffg7 ) reports Bishop is charged in Dane County felony criminal damage and entry into a locked building. He's being held on $1,000 bond.
