Homicide investigation in north Iowa

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Iowa (KTTC) -- A homicide investigation is underway in north Iowa.

Chickasaw County Sheriff's deputies found the body of Carl Gallmeyer, 70, in his Nashua home on Thursday after the department received a request to check on his welfare.

Officials are not releasing any details of Gallmeyer's death, but are asking anyone with information to call the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department at (641) 394-3121.
