Marion beats Solon 24-14 on homecoming night

MARION (KWWL) -

In 3A District 6, tenth ranked Solon visits #12 Marion on homecoming night. Both teams are sitting at 5-1.

First quarter, the first drive of the game, Marion marches right down and somewhere in the pile is Trev Biery, he would score from 2 yards out, putting the Indians up 7-0.

Solon's first possession and Rory Siddell's pass is tipped and intercepted by Marion's Quinn Cannoy.

Marion would make it pay as Biery would get his second touchdown from 2 yards out, 14-0 Marion.

Later in the first quarter and Solon finally got on the board on a nice run by Aaron Shulista making the score 14-7.

Biery would add his third touchdown on a nice misdirection run from 28 yards. Marion led 21-7.

Marion wins on homecoming 24-14, handing Solon its first district loss since 2006.
