ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Friends and family gathered in downtown Rochester Thursday night to support a young mother and wife battling cancer.
It was just over a month ago when we first brought you the story of Erin Pendergast.
At 30, when she was 22 weeks along with her second child, Erin was diagnosed with brain cancer. She fought back with surgery and radiation and is winning.
"Unfortunately, there's more downs than ups, so the support really means she knows people that are thinking about her, that they care about her and it kind of helps her fight," said Erin's husband, Ryan Pendergast.
On Thursday night, her close friends held a fundraiser to help support the family.
Now all Erin has to do is concentrate on getting healthy.
People at the benefit also made bids in a silent auction with proceeds going to help Erin, her husband and two boys.
