CARPENTER, Iowa (KTTC) -- A motorcycle crash in north Iowa leaves the driver in critical condition.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, it happened at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday just north of Highway 105 near Carpenter.
A 34-year-old St. Ansgar man struck a small animal, lost control and drove off the road hitting several trees.
He was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.
The crash remains under investigation.
