ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- We all know RCTC's dominance in football, but now it looks like we can add another thing to the list.
Disc golf is something that has been emerging over the past couple of years and now the young program at RCTC is doing big things.
The school's disc golf team is heading to a national qualifier on Friday in Iowa where they will face off with about ten teams that including the University of Iowa and Iowa State University. For those who aren't familiar with disc golf, the name pretty much sums it up. You trade the clubs and balls for discs and aim for the baskets which are the targets.
"I honestly think this is a very good opportunity," said RCTC Sophomore Eric Jenneke. "This is the school's first tournament so just getting the chance to play with the school at this tournament is pretty amazing."
The team will compete in three rounds of 18 hole disc golf. If they come out on top, they will head to nationals in South Carolina
