78-year-old Princeton man killed when scooter hit


PRINCETON, Minn. (AP) - A 78-year-old Princeton man is dead after a motor vehicle hit his scooter.

According to the Itasca County Sheriff's Office, Eugene Paul Zeroth rode his Rascal scooter into the path of a vehicle on County Road 29, about 15 miles west of Bigfork, at about noon Saturday.

The Duluth News Tribune reports Zeroth died on the scene.
