ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- For the fifth year, Mayo Clinic takes part in a national take-back program, allowing people to anonymously drop off unused prescription drugs for disposal.
The Gonda building in downtown Rochester was one of many drop off locations in southern Minnesota Saturday.
Drivers could pull up to a volunteer and hand over a bag of prescriptions. Those were boxed up and put in a truck for proper disposal.
Prescription drug abuse is an increasing concern, and take-back programs have been established to keep drugs out of the hands of those who may potentially misuse or abuse them.
