AUSTIN, Minn. (KTTC/AP) -- Employees at Hormel Foods in Austin are being screened for tuberculosis after a worker there tested positive for the disease.
Mower County Public Health notified Hormel after the employee was diagnosed, and identified additional employees to be screened.
So far, no other cases of tuberculosis have been found.
Hormel says there is no risk to food safety.
The company says it will continue to follow the direction of the health department.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says TB is spread through the air from one person to another.
