The Chicagoland native graduated from Saint Mary's University in Winona where he played basketball and golf. Eric didn't have a Hall of Fame career at SMU, but he's the only player in school history to punt a basketball after a loss (most likely). After getting passed over year-after-year-after-year on NBA Draft day, Eric has been honing his skills as a sports journalist.
After college, Eric interned in the sports department at WGN Radio in Chicago. A short time later he took a job as a sports writer for the Red Wing Republican Eagle. In the spring of 2011, Eric returned to sports broadcasting as the sports anchor at HBC-TV 25 in Winona. He then joined the KTTC team in August of 2012.
When not working, you can find Eric slicing Titleists into the woods, seeing if he can still dunk and contemplating if the Cubs will ever win the World Series. Eric also enjoys watching his favorite sports teams, which does NOT include the Green Bay Packers, though he could win an Aaron Rodgers look-alike contest (according to Pat Lund).
