Rural Spring Valley woman killed in 2-vehicle crash

(KTTC) -- A woman from rural Spring Valley was killed Sunday just after midnight in a two-car crash not far from her home.

31-year-old Jennifer Boland was driving southbound on 790th Avenue when her mini-van was struck at 235th Street by a westbound vehicle driven by 31-year-old Lisa Phillips.

Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi says it happened at an uncontrolled intersection and the State Patrol is doing an accident reconstruction analysis.

A passenger in Phillips' vehicle, Michelle Lowe, was taken to St. Marys Hospital with injuries but Phillips was not badly hurt.
