ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Gun fire rings out in southeast Rochester over the weekend.
It apparently happened on Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. but it wasn't until later that neighbors realized it was gun fire, not fireworks.
According to the Rochester Police Department an apartment building on the 1900 block of 8 1/2 Street SE now has several bullet holes.
Residents say they heard small explosions but thought it was fireworks.
Then around 7 p.m. Saturday, someone noticed six or seven bullet holes in the building.
Police say one went into an apartment.
Monday morning, the forensics team was on scene to remove the bullets and a bullet was even left in the parking lot.
No one was injured and police say they didn't find any casings in the area.
