WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- More than 320 teams of runners laced up in Winona early Friday morning for the start of a 200 mile relay.
3,400 runners are participating in the Ragnar Relay Great River from Winona to Minneapolis.
The two-day event combines running with a traveling, partying, scenic views and lasting memories.
Each team is made up of 12 members. And each runner will complete an almost 17 mile leg of the relay.
"It's just the fun of, you know, being with eleven other people and running is what a lot of us like to do in our recreational time," said John Maas, a relay runner.
Ragnar Relay Great River is the largest event of its kind in the world.
