MASON CITY, Iowa (KTTC) -- A young girl has been injured after an ATV collided with a van.
According to the Cerro Gordo County authorities, the accident happened about two miles north of Mason City on Highway 65 at about 8 a.m. Friday.
A van being driven by Karen Bohl of Manly, Iowa was attempting to pass the ATV being driven by a 12-year-old.
The ATV had slowed to make a left turn but was struck from behind by the van.
The collision sent both vehicles into the ditch and the ATV rolled.
The 12-year-old was transported to Mercy Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
