Some Albert Lea residents sign petition against disc golf course

ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Hundreds of Albert Lea residents signed a petition against an expanded disc golf course.

Resident Carol Bertelson presented more than 300 signatures to the Albert Lea City council last night.

She says the course in Bancroft Bay Park will tarnish the park's natural setting.

The Albert Lea City Council approved the expanded disc golf course in April...and work on it is almost complete.

Supporters say local and national disc golf tournaments are already in the works.
