SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) -- The power is back on after an outage stranded people on rides at Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee.
Xcel Energy spokeswoman Mary Sandok says the power was restored at 6 p.m. Tuesday after being out for about an hour and a half.
Sandok says an Xcel equipment failure caused the outage.
Valleyfair spokesman Todd Larkin tells WCCO-AM that maintenance workers escorted people from the rides.
Larkin says the fair is closed for the night.
No injuries are reported.
