ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Allegiant Airlines will be adding service from Rochester to Pheonix-Mesa, Arizona starting November 1, the company said Tuesday morning.
The new service was set to be announced at the Rochester Airport at 10 a.m. in the lobby.
"We are pleased to bring a new affordable and convenient travel option to Rochester," said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President. "We are confident area residents will appreciate the convenience of flying nonstop to Phoenix and the value of bundling their air, hotel and car rental reservation together."
Flights will be offered on Thursdays and Sundays and will be offered for $100 one way.
Allegiant Airlines is a family face in the Rochester travel scene. The airline began direct flights from RST to Las Vegas in June of 2007.
The flights were discontinued in February of 2010 due to what the airline called a lack of demand.
