Mason City police investigate possible stabbing

MASON CITY, Iowa (KTTC) -- Police are investigating a possible stabbing that happened Sunday afternoon but say the victim isn't cooperating or providing any information.

At about 3:15 p.m., 20-year-old Anthony Dale Linderman went to Mercy Medical Center with a stab wound to the chest. He told police he was stabbed in the 700-800 block of N. Washington Ave., but refused to cooperate or give any additional details, police said.

Several people who were outside in the area at the time of the reported stabbing couldn't corroborate Linderman's story and police didn't find any blood in the area.
