Man arrested after cows moo too loudly

ZUMBRO FALLS, Minn. (KTTC) -- An Olmsted County man is arrested after he becomes annoyed with his cows mooing too loudly.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office David Ryan, 57, had been drinking root beer and bourbon when he became agitated with how loud his cows were being.

It happened on the 3900 block of Ryan's Bay Point near Zumbro Falls just before 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

He grabbed his shotgun and headed outside and that's when his wife called for help, fearing he would shoot the cows.

She heard a couple of shots but when deputies arrived Ryan came up on an ATV and told authorities he only shot into the air to scare the cows and make them be quiet but had hid the gun so he wouldn't get in trouble.

He was arrested for 4th degree DWI for riding the ATV while intoxicated.
