ALBERT LEA, Minn (KTTC) -- An Albert Lea hotel has paid off thousands of dollars in back property taxes.

The Freeborn County Auditor-Treasurer's Office says it received a check Wednesday on behalf of the Knights Inn.

The check covered about $221,000 in back taxes, and about $25,000 in 2012 taxes.

The tax debt stretched over five years starting in 2007.
