ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Rochester City Council approved Monday a new regional public safety training center.
The facility will be built in the Forest Knoll neighborhood and include a K9 training area, paved driving range and weapons training range.
The city council also decided Monday to form an advisory committee. It will include residents and law enforcement and meet by October to discuss the project.
The regional public safety training center is expected to be completed by July 2013.
