Couple celebrates 70 years of marriage

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) -- 70 years. That is how long one Stewartville couple has been together. 65 of those years were spent on their farm here in Minnesota.

Henry Schumann spent some time as a serviceman in the Army Air Corp in his earlier years. Luella Yeadon was in Minnesota, but moved to Glendale, California and on August 1st in 1942, she and Henry were married.

Five children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren later, they're still together.

The Schumanns spent some time in California and Texas before Henry finished his time in the Army and then they moved back to Minnesota to take over his grandfather's farm.

They've lived on their farm for 65 years. Now Henry is 92 and Luella is 91. They say they don't move as fast as they once did, but as long as they're side by side, that's okay.
