MOA plans 20th anniversary celebration


BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) -- The megamall is planning a mega-celebration of its 20th anniversary in Bloomington.
   The Mall of America opened as the largest U.S. retail and entertainment complex on Aug. 11, 1992. To celebrate, the mall is planning giveaways and a birthday party complete with 2,000 pieces of cake.
   Theatres at Mall of America will show free movies daily from the year 1992 on Aug. 10-16. Nickelodeon Universe will offer 20 percent off retail items, photos and food throughout the amusement park Aug. 11.
   And "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro of the popular TLC reality TV show will prepare a special birthday cake for the mall's 20th anniversary. The cake stands 8-feet high by 4-feet wide and will be on display Aug. 11 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the mall Rotunda.
