Not guilty plea in Mason City murder

MASON CITY, Iowa (KTTC) -- The man accused of murdering a Mason City woman pleads not guilty.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports Aaron Harris filed his plea Monday.

Harris is charged with first-degree murder in the July 10th death of Sarah Winters.

She was found unresponsive in her apartment and pronounced dead at a hospital. An autopsy shows Winters was strangled.

Harris remains in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
