ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The first degree murder indictment in the death of a man found in Quarry Hill Park was returned late last week by an Olmsted County Grand Jury.
22-year-old Anthony Deshawn Jones is charged with one court of first degree murder committed during a felony controlled substance crime and intentional murder in the second degree.
47-year-old David Biester's body was found in a parking lot at Quarry Hill Park in Rochester in April.
"Videos were obtained from various establishments and David Biester was seen going to several gas stations around Rochester and he was seen in the company of Anthony Deshawn Jones and that's how the connection was ultimately made," said Assistant Omsted County Attorney Jim Mortinson.
Jones' unconditional bail was set at $2 million Monday morning. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 6 for scheduling and remains jailed in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center.
The Olmsted County Medical Examiner's Office ruled that Biester died from blunt force trauma to the head.
