PINE ISLAND, Minn. (KTTC) -- Pine Island Public Schools will see a change once the new year starts.
Superintendent Chris Bates has been superintendent of Pine Island Public Schools for five years, but it was announced Friday he has taken a new job.
Bates will serve as superintendent of the Crookston Public Schools.
Bates' wife is from the Crookston area. Bates himself was a foreign exchange student from London in Crookston in 1974 and taught there in the 1990s.
