ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- We have a gusty, hot Wednesday ahead of us as very warm and humid air continues to blow into the region ahead of a storm system and associated cold front to our west.
There will be some thunderstorm chances in the area along and even behind that front in the mid to late afternoon hours and for the evening today, but not before we'll deal with that scorching heat.
High temperatures ahead of the possible showers and that cold front will be in the low to mid 90s with heat indices in the triple digits, especially south and east of Rochester where a Heat Advisory is in effect until 7:00 this evening.
We'll have evening thunderstorms and then another round of scattered showers later tomorrow with the arrival of another disturbance from the northwest while highs will be in the 80s.
Cooler, drier air will settle into the region Friday when highs may be below normal for the first time in more than a month.
