Rochester PrideFest 2012

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC)-- More than 100 people marched the streets of downtown Rochester Saturday as part of the city's 15th annual PrideFest.

The tone was set with signs and T-shirts reading "Vote No. Don't limit the freedom to marry."

The march started at the peace plaza and ended at Mayo Park where everyone enjoyed music and food.

The annual get-together recognizes the gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual community. Love and Marriage was this years theme.

Jeffrey Jurewicz says, "When people tend to think of southern Minnesota, the tend to think 'oh that's a closed off community', but that's not the Rochester I know. The Rochester I know is open, welcoming, and affirming of it's LGBT community members."

PrideFest activities will continue into Sunday with food and entertainment at the Peace Plaza.
