Rochester man accused of beating bicyclist

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man already wanted for deportation is now facing assault and disorderly conduct charges.

Juan Rangel was arrested on Thursday around 2:15 p.m. on the 1600 block of Marion Road.

According to the Rochester Police Department, Rangel was a passenger in a vehicle when he saw another man riding his bike along the road.

Rangel told the passenger to pull over and he got out and beat the bicyclist.

Rangel tells police the victim was talking badly about him, but the victim says he doesn't even know Rangel.
