HOUSTON, Inn. (KTTC)-- One week ago 4-year-old Chloe Langen and 5-year-old Annabelle Heyer were severely burned at the Money Creek Haven Campground just outside of Houston, when a campfire exploded.
Chloe's burns cover half of her body, extending from her neck to her knees. She will be undergoing skin grafts over the next several weeks. She is currently at Regions Hospital in critical condition. According to her great uncle, Jason Langen she will be there for at least the next 50 days.
Also hurt in the campfire explosion was 5 year old Annabelle Heyer who is being treated at Madison, Wisconsin Hospital.
Saturday was Chloe's birthday so her cousins, siblings, and friends spent the day handing out cupcakes to raise money.
A pancake breakfast also took place Saturday at Money Creek Campground and all donations went to Chloe and Annabelle's families. Organizers say the pancakes raised more than $8,000.
