Police surround house in Winona

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man was arrested after a standoff that lasted several hours in Winona.

It started when officers tried to arrest Jeffrey Christopherson on outstanding warrants for burglary, firearms and child support.

Around 8 p.m. Thursday, police went to Christopherson's home at the intersection of Broadway and Junction Street.

When he refused to come out, the Emergency Response Team was called.

Around 2 a.m., Christopherson surrendered.

The Winona County Sheriff's Office and La Crosse County SWAT Team were also involved.

No one was hurt.
