Prosecutor: No remorse, max sentence for Senser

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Prosecutors say Amy Senser, the wife of former Minnesota Viking Joe Senser, has shown no remorse over a fatal hit-and-run and deserves the maximum prison sentence of nearly 5 years.

Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Deborah Russell says Senser has made only excuses for the Minneapolis crash that killed a young Thai restaurant chef last August, the Star Tribune reports.

Senser was convicted of two counts of criminal vehicular homicide, one for leaving the scene and one for failing to call 911. She is to be sentenced on Monday.

Russell's filing Thursday came two days after Senser's attorneys asked for probation, saying Senser was deeply sorry and heartbroken over the crash.
