ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The intense heat and humidity we're dealing with this week is going to hold on for another couple of days, but there is relief in sight.
We'll have to make it through today and tomorrow, but the weekend appears to offer some cooler, more seasonable weather behind a cold front that will make its way across our area later tomorrow.
In the meantime, we'll have yet another bright, hot day today with a few thunderstorms this morning and another round of isolated thunderstorms later this afternoon as a weak front ahead of that approaching storm system to our west stalls in the area.
Another few thunderstorms will be possible tomorrow afternoon and evening with the most widespread chance of thunderstorms possible tomorrow night into Friday morning as that storm system and its cold front push through the area. Severe weather doesn't appear likely with those storms, however.
Skies will brighten up for the weekend as temperatures will cool to the 80s for highs and 60s for lows, which is a little more typical of our region's weather this time of the year.
