Girl fatally stricken on Wright County bike path

ST. MICHAEL, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 16-year-old girl who apparently was stricken on a Wright County bike path.

Michaela Marie Olson, 16, was found about 9:34 a.m. Sunday in St. Michael.

Sheriff Joe Hagerty told the St. Cloud Times that Michaela apparently collapsed and was found unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at a Monticello hospital.

Hagerty says Olson was alone and sheriff's officials don't know much more about what happened before she was found. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
