2 arrested for blocking driver, smashing hood and windshield

MOWER COUNTY, Minn. (KTTC) -- Two southeast Minnesota men are in jail after blocking a driver and smashing in his hood and windshield with a chain.

According to the Austin Daily Herald, Preston Bain of Waseca and Christopher Heimsness of Rochester are both facing charges of felony intentional damage to property of more than $1,000.

Investigators say both men were drinking on the 1800 block of Fourth Street Northeast in Austin, when they blocked a driver's path and then smashed his windshield with a chain.

Both men are in the Mower County Jail.

The victim was not hurt, but his vehicle received more than $4,000 worth of damage.
