EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings have switched up their training camp schedule.
The team released Thursday their slate of 2-a-day practices at Minnesota State University in Mankato, where they'll report July 26 with the first on-field workout the following day.
But this time, the Vikings will have hour-long walk-through practices in the mornings and put the helmets and pads on for a full 2½-hour workout in the afternoons.
There are 15 days of 2-a-days this summer.
The Vikings also revealed Thursday they'll use the KFAN-FM radio narration by Paul Allen, Pete Bercich and Greg Coleman to simultaneously announce this year's exhibitions on television. Three preseason games will be broadcast on KARE-TV and the other is on WUCW-TV. Former Vikings linebacker Ben Leber has joined the crew as a sideline reporter with Coleman.
