Heat continues through the weekend

Updated:

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- We're dealing with the thickest, heaviest feeling humidity of the year so far this morning, but a weak cold front from the west will eventually begin to bring relief from that humidity as it pushes its way through the area.

Expect hazy cloud cover and some light showers or sprinkles this morning along and just behind that front before drier air pours in for the latter part of the day today.

High temperatures will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s today with a slight northwest breeze. We'll have bright sunshine tomorrow with a chance for a stray shower or thunderstorm later in the day and for tomorrow night and then sparse shower and thunderstorm chances off and on all weekend with high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90°.

The heat looks to stick around through all of next week and may last into the middle portion of July as it appears now so it's a good idea to find a good way to beat the heat over the next days and weeks.
