Man scares off suspected copper thieves

Updated:

OLMSTED COUNTY, Minn. (KTTC) -- Olmsted County Sheriff deputies are investigating yet another copper theft.

A resident on the 7500 block of 40th Avenue Northeast woke up early Tuesday morning to a couple of figures making noise outside his bedroom window.

He says the people were attempting to cut the copper off a propane tank and lightening rod outside his home.

The man was able to scare the suspects off before anything was taken.
