Police ticket minors for drinking at grad party

Updated:

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A weekend graduation party turned into a minor consumption ticket for some John Marshall students.

Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, Rochester police responded to a noise complaint on the 1500 of Chippewa Drive Northwest.

Some juveniles ran away and hid a nearby wooded area.

Those that stayed inside the house were cited for underage consumption.

Eight tickets were given for underage drinking. Others received tickets for obstructing the legal process, including the homeowner who was not cooperative with police.

Investigators say one 18-year-old who was on probation for DWI fought with officers. Charges against him are pending.
