Updated:

OSAGE, Iowa (AP) -- A 30-year-old Ankeny nurse has been fined and given probation after pleading guilty to drug charges.

The Mason City Globe Gazette says Julie Johnson, of Ankeny was fined $315 for each conviction and given two years of probation and a deferred judgment. If she successfully completes probation, the crime can come off her record.

Authorities say Johnson was arrested on Nov. 24. Officers had been sent to Mitchell County Regional Health Center, where officials alleged that Johnson was intoxicated while working in the emergency room.

The hospital says Johnson was an agency fill-in nurse who was not a hospital employee.

Johnson was convicted of possessing a controlled substance, morphine, and possessing marijuana. In return for Johnson's guilty pleas, prosecutors dropped five other counts.
