Man arrested in receipt scam

Updated:

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man accused of scamming restaurants for small amounts of cash at a time is now behind bars.

49-year-old Brian Gibson was arrested Wednesday night around 7:30 p.m. at Glynner's Pub for theft by swindle.

He's accused of forging dry cleaning receipts for around $50.

Investigators say Gibson would claim managers agreed to reimburse him for dry cleaning costs, saying that servers spilled something on him.

Police say about half a dozen restaurants were targeted by Gibson.
