ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Warmer, more humid air is blowing into the region today ahead of a potent storm system and its associated cold front.
Expect partly sunny skies through the day today with gusty south winds that will occasionally reach 35 miles per hour with high temperatures in the lower 80s.
Stronger storms are expected to develop late in the afternoon and evening hours as that cold front approaches the area. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible in those storms.
There will be a few brief thunderstorms in the area tomorrow with plenty of warm sunshine and lighter winds.
There will be more widespread thunderstorms again for Saturday with highs near 80° and a slight chance for some severe activity later in the day.
Father's Day looks mostly dry with just a small chance for some evening storms and highs in the mid 80s.
The stormy, unsettled pattern looks to linger through Wednesday of next week.
